The candidate handles litigation and other legal assignments in accordance with guidelines established by the corporate law department. Handles routine motions, arbitrations, bench trials, and basic jury trials. Responsible for a high volume caseload, court appearances and trials. Responsibilities also include complete file handling from discovery stage through trial. Should have LL.B./J.D. degree, preferably from an ABA accredited law school, and in the top half of graduating class. Should be an active member in good standing of Bar in state of operation. Must be an insurance defense attorney with 1-3 years of experience. Must be licensed to practice in NY (in good standing). Should be willing to travel as needed in New York City, Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
