Summary: Responsible for management of own accounts of up to 10 lives. Assists Account Executive(s) by performing various clerical and administrative functions necessary for maintaining accounts. May assist Account Executive(s) and others with assigned tasks and projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Assists in the preparation of renewal proposals for presentation to client, as well as new business proposals to be reviewed and approved by the department AVP.
2. Follows up with clients for items such as census information, reporting forms, signed contracts and miscellaneous information.
3. Assists in completion of renewal, new business and lost business notifications
4. Uphold all HIPAA law requirements and obtain a signed waiver form from every employee and every employee of the client (with whom we have a business agreement in place) when acting on their behalf with regard to Personal health information.
5. Follows up with the insurance companies for outstanding confirmations, enrollments, terminations and claim problem status.
6. Maintain assigned clients and customer service related tasks. Backup files while they are open and being worked on. Responsible for inputting account detail into computer.
7. Follows up for timely receipt of renewals.
8. Processes enrollments and terminations.
9. Resolves client billing issues.
10. Responsible for the daily correspondence, email, faxes, mail and maintaining up to date file correspondence, telephone communication for assigned accounts.
11. Reviews mail; i.e. enrollments, termination, client medical bills, EOB's, signed renewal letter, checks and matches to pended tasks or opens new task.
12. Operates standard office machines; i.e. computer, fax, copier (proposal binding machine).
Inputs changes or updates into computer/BenefitPoint, such as renewals.
13. Must maintain phone/computer coverage for assigned teammate in his/her absence.


EDUCATION and/or
Experience:
Minimum three years in an comparable position.
Direct experience managing accounts including (but not limited to) Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, LTD and Disability.
Life & Health broker's license
Must be computer literate with proficiency in HealthConnect
Must also be proficient in the basics of Word and Excel.
College degree preferred.
Credits toward LOMA, CEBS or other professional designation a plus.
Experience with BenefitPoint a plus.
