Accounts Receivable Manager

Our Accounting department is growing and we are looking to add an Accounts Receivable Manager to the team.? In this leadership role you will be responsible for developing and reviewing general accounting practices, internal controls, building and leading a strong team. You will maintain customer reconciliations while taking ownership of the collections and overall Accounts Receivable process.? You should possess strong interpersonal skills as you will be communicating with our leadership team on a daily basis.



  • Lead, develop and coach an experienced team of Accounts Receivable, Collections, Cash Applications and Order Release specialist.

  • Perform credit and collection activities, keeping all accounts receivable within agreed upon terms

  • Maintain customer receivable balances and aging by running reports and updating accounting data as needed

  • Make collection calls/reconcile accounts and enter notes in system.

  • Manage month end closing process with the Accounts Receivable team

  • Manage Accounts Receivable by preparing and/or reviewing invoices, deposit payments, and reviewing aging reports

  • Review, determine and evaluate equipment finance plans, account credit lines, terms and fees.

  • Oversee and manage business sectors; government account, non-profit, college, school, etc.

  • Monitor and analyze department work, create efficiencies, process improvements that drive business results and maintain a high level of accuracy.

  • Reconcile and assist in analyzing Accounts Payable open purchase order report

  • Special projects as assigned by Controller?

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting, required

  • 5 years of??experience leading, coaching, developing and managing an Accounts Receivable/Collections team

  • Excellent computer skills, including accounting software experience, Excel, Word and Outlook

  • Ability to prioritize, manage and delegate work to a team of 12 specialist

  • A great attitude and willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever it takes to ensure department runs smoothly, sometimes assisting in areas outside your scope of responsibility

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality concerning financial data

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate in a clear and professional manner with internal management, over the phone with vendors and customers

  • Must be flexible with hours for daily, monthly, quarterly and annual closing

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
